What happens during a systemic structural constellation?
Every systemic structural constellation is normally preceded by a solution focused interview that serves to determine what the problem is and what elements are going to be arranged. On the basis of the interview, the format of the constellation (e.g. a structural family constellation, a structural team constellation, a structural body constellation etc.) and the elements to be arranged (e.g. relatives, members of a team, parts of the body, resources) are determined. Then from a group of people the client, who is creating the constellation, selects so-called representatives for the elements of the constellation and arranges them. That means, he positions the selected persons in the room in such a way that it corresponds with his inner image. Due to physical or emotional changes the representatives experience what it means to be standing at this particular spot in this constellation. Based on statements that they make on these changes as well as the visible positioning in relation to each other, knowledge about the current situation can be gained. Building on this realization process and always aware of the physical changes in the representatives, a solution constellation is worked on through repositioning and processes.
